YESSS! I HAVE FINALLY BEEN ABLE TO LOG IN AND POST SOMETHING. OHMYGAWD.
ok, drama over. as some of you might have known, i was not able to blog for the past few days but now, a miracle has occurred. i can finally log in and blog!
the past few days have been crazy. let's start with saturday coz something mircaulous happened.
i went to sentosa with alvin, zhiwei, shiyuen and her brother. it was fun while it lasted; at least till it rained.
nono, it was not the fact that zhiwei and shiyuen were able to go out together and not feel bored with one another. it is also besides the point that we all went out to have a steamboat dinner at marina with the exception of alvin who had to rush for a family dinner.
it was the freaking fact that i left my wallet and handphone at the arcade and some kind stranger brought it to the counter! OHMYGOD. can anyone believe it? people so honest actually still existed. it could be the kids who were playng para para and i feel so bad now cause when they were para para-ing, i actually filmed it down and laughed. so now, i actually believe that the world is quite a nice place.
oh oh! and i appeared on tv on tuesday night while everyone was worried about the earthquake! unfortunately, i was not on tv, speaking with my china accent, that i was damn scared when the whole thing struck and i almost shit-ed in my pants. i managed to catch a glimpse of karena lam at the press conference of her soon-to-be released (AUGUST. omg.) movie "Anna and Anna". she is damn cute lah.
the movie seems quite good and i do recommend the show. keep me informed on how the show is, ok! (: it was funny that they kept talking about the other lead actor, lu yi, who wasnt there and totally neglected the male charcter who was present - tender huang. others present include director aubrey lam and producer ng sian ngoh.
did the aspire cafe food review on wednesday afternoon. such an arduous journey, all the way to joo chiat. but at the end of the day, it was seemingly worth it. do check out the food review i had written for the place at http://www.theurbanwire.com . would be able to provide a direct link to the review soon! but first, a little sneak preview of peektures.
the cafe is really not bad, maybe not in terms of snacks but rather, there is an endless array of activities. there are comics, movies, games of all sorts, wireless... blah blah blah. there's so much to offer, even dance and skin care sessions (for a nominal fee, of course.) if not, the abovementioned few are totally free. scream-worthy indeed.
wednesday was an exceptionally busy day because straight after the food review, i barely had time to rest before i had to turn up for the ps3 launch at clinic. the party was great and i managed to get contacts of people from various publications following the game beat! (: i just realised that i am that sort who will start blabbering and being exceptionally friendly to everyone, even total random strangers, when i am abit high (note: high don't equal to drunk. im not that unprofessional.) it was a good thing because i managed to get the contacts only AFTER i got high. after which was porridge at maxwell with paul.
that guy on the right is ming. he works for reuters and loves gaming. one of the many people i knew that night. damn friendly guy coz he invited paul and me to his office one day to play his games! woohoo!
Mr Tetsuhiko Yasuda, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Asia, arriving in style with the PS3 in hand.
the top 10 people in singapore who were first to buy the ps3. the guy in orange is very friendly too as he gave me a summary of the gaming console scene in singapore.
if you haven't notice it, this guy is one of the top 10 people in singapore who were first to own a ps3 but now, he won one yet again. the sheer luck of people.
the finger food provided was damn great and i was just being my glutton self. but that wasn't the most fattening thing i have done all week because i have just returned from the official opening of marche at vivocity and yes, you guessed it right. EVERYTHING WAS FREE. i even had a fabulous door gift on my way out.
i honestly felt like i struck gold.
it was free seating and every table had a generously proportion of fruits. damn it, the strawberries are korean a la prime grade.
the wait for this was excruciating but it was well worth it. omg. the feeling as jarryl had described is "orgasmic".
this alone would justify the reason of going marche - the crepe with assorted fruits mix.
i really like this picture. i think kewei would love it even more it he was there. free flow of booze, baby, free flow.
other food which were damn good include the applewood grilledn steak (although i didnt try any), the seafood (salmon, seabass, SOFTSHELL CRAB, prawns) were damn good <-- been there, tried it. actually, the vegetables alone would have filled me up coz it was really OMG DAMN GOOD. and yes, the rosti, who could forget it? YUM. however, their new dish, paiella, didnt settle too well with me. i prefer coffee club's. you would have thought that i would have had enough fun but this afternoon was one of the best spent in a very long time. after the morning meeting the team had with mr yee, shu, yc and myself went to sentosa. it wasn't planned. very very spontaneous as could be seen by our dressing. oh, and before that, we had doughnuts at that vinco's place in vivocity.
trust me, it's damn good, especially the chocolate delight. so anyhow, we decided to head down to sentosa in the new lrt lookalike thingy that links from vivocity to the various parts of sentosa.
we really acted like tourists there. we went to the different attractions and were amazed at how much everything has become so much better, so much nicer and so much more commercialised and expensive.
our journey first began with the ride up to imbiah lookout via a ski ride thingy. managed to get staff price coz yc is working there. mwahaha. the jackass is damn scared while we were up there lah.
if her mouth had been wider, she would have sucked in a nearby housefly whizzing by.
once up on the imbiah lookout, we went to the carlsberg skytower! the revolving thing was indeed quite slow but the view was magnificient. haha, we took, like, a gazillion photos.
this is emo shit yc. caught this rare shot by chance. as we all know, she is often jovial with bright colours.
tohster thinks that she looks chic. but honestly, she looks like shit. mwahaha. i rock at rhyming words. and i dont look like those twits lah. omgsz.
me and the kohster. haha.
rose, if you jump, there is no chance in hell anyone is gonna save you.
to be honest, the ride wasn't so much fun and we think that it is not worth the S$10 people are paying. we, then, decided to head to the images of singapore next. on our way, we saw various photo opportunities again.
this is funny coz yc suddenly just went in front and sat down waiting for me to take a photo. i didnt even realise that she was waiting for me to snap. haha, damn obscure.
over-the-shoulder shot. we did learn something in locvid. or was it tvpro?
the above three pics are damn retarded.
by consensus, we like this the best.
headed over to the merlion. amongst the various tourist traps, the most recent one i have been to is the merlion. it was around sec 2 that i went which makes it about 5 years ago.
shouldn't used flash but was too paiseh to ask yc's colleague to help us take another shot. it could have been a good one.
oh, and the images of singapore is quite fun. it's like a walkthrough of singapore's history. so much better than the boring history textbook i used to fall asleep to. haha.
damn retro lah. and she really got the evil taitai face.
SILLY yc.
our final stop was the luge ride. i lost because both of the them are cheaterbugs and they extorted $1.60 from me.
tell me,
isn't this the face of a cheater?
and you know what is the best part of the day? i spent, like, S$4.60 in sentosa. can someone say GODLIKE? mwahaha!
writer's note: i am honestly thinking of switching to wordpress.com because blogger is a bitch and kept me out for the past few days.
